My name is Kathleen Stark. I am 82 years old and live in Alexandria, Virginia. I have been actively pursuing my art for the last 45 years. I started after my youngest child went off to college. I began taking studio art classes and art history classes at the local community college. It had been so long since art school that I literally had to begin from scratch. I belong to The Fairfax Art league and have shown my work in the league’s gallery in Old Town Hall, Fax. I have also been accepted in two shows with ECVA, and in several Art Impact, International shows. I lived in Liberia, West Africa for 3 years. It has been a great influence on my work such as “Sisterhood”.
