KATHLEEN STARK • The Death of Freddy Gray
Here is another painting I did about the death of Freddy Gray by the police in Baltimore and the subsequent  riots that broke out there in 2015.  I also wrote a poem about this as well.  I hope that one or both of these paintings fit the subject of death.

This is a painting I did in a series on women’s rights.  The painting was inspired by a postcard sent out by Amnesty International that had the title words on the front of the card. 
KATHLEEN STARK • Sisterhood, is one of many of my painting related to racial justice and women’s rights.  I spent several years in West Africa so some of my work is influenced by my time there.  I have also done several painting speaking to my faith.  Sometimes one painting will incorporate several of these themes.

My name is Kathleen Stark.  I was a member of the Artist Registry and ECFA for several years.  In that time I entered two shows and was accepted in both.  I am really sorry that the group has resigned.  I enjoyed being a member.
